Truly brilliant photos Vivienne, I was relying on you to show me what I had missed. You didn't let me down. You are a star, thanks.

Hi Sid,

Thanks for your kind words of appreciation. Yes, you missed another fantastic AGM, and I can't believe we had brilliant weather again! I'm sad you and Maureen couldn't make it.

Sorry you've had to wait a few hours for my AGM posting. I usually just post one photo and email the pictures to Ian and our gang, but I took quite a few and so did Ian. I'm still planning to email mine to you all, including Margaret. It was super meeting Margaret. She planning to come next time and bring her daughter Wendy.

Ian's friend Neville is the guy in the Signal Box. The other 'official' (standing alone by the track side) is mister Health & Safety Risk Assessor! That's another story which involves Hildie and a chair!

Ian asked a bloke to take a photo of the four of us, so he'll be posting the picture on Truckshunters. The only problem we encountered was having to share a carriage with five dogs, some of which were agitated about being on the train - even before it left the station, and a young child who was scared of them. The family had the get off as we passed through the station from Sunniside, before heading off to Causey Arch and East Tanfield, as the young lad was crying that he wanted to go back to their car. I think the dogs and their owners should have got off! Four of the dogs seemed to belong to the same party/ person. (Sorry Hildie, for moaning about the dogs again. You had to put up with me moaning during our journey too). Hildie & I spent most of the journey in the open air at the rear of the carriage.

Well, I better post this and get to bed. I'm working at Gibside today, so better not sleep in.

I've been kept busy at home with 45 or more baby birds. I keep having to run out with loads of bread, as the babies get very impatient when they have to wait for their parents to collect food from the balls of fat. Also, I've had to put three bird baths in the garden, but still have to refill them at least three times each day! My lawn was really overgrown as I didn't want to interrupt their feeding & bathing cycle. However, I managed to get it cut late afternoon, before the birds needed their supper.

Thanks for keeping us in touch Vivienne, sounds like you had a great time and you were so lucky with the weather again weren't you?
Wouldn't it be nice if we could get more people to go to the agms and posting on the blog? There must be lots of people wondering where Ian has disappeared to.
