Hi everyone,

I've just viewed Ian's new posting and I'm shocked and devastated at his news! No more Nightshift! Only 30 mins of Ian, albeit live, until the end of January, then no more Ian at all. What a terrible Christmas present!!!

Love Vivienne xxx

Very sad news indeed. Let's hope that it turns out to be advantageous to Ian. We have both been there Vivienne and I always think that these things happen for a reason. I can only wish him, and all of you, a good Christmas and an even better New Year. I've said that I hope he'll continue with the blog and I'm sure he'll be popping up somewhere, you can't keep a good man down!

Morning chums, I too have had a taste of redundancy, it happened in 1972. The company asked for volunteers and I was second to get my name on the list. I should have been first but a pal of mine tripped me up on purpose so he could get pride of place. I didn't know it at the time but redundancy changed my whole life...for the better. As Maureen says, some things are meant to be.
