Such a poignant picture isn't it? Something that no mother, or parent should have to go through. Fortunately lessons were learnt from that disaster which must have save many lives since.
Sometimes, 'Health and Safety' has it's role to play.

Standing next to the memorial, so close to where the disaster occurred, on the day before Mothering Sunday, I couldn't help but think of all those poor mothers who endured such an inconsolable loss. Dads too of course, but it wasn't Fathers' Day the following day.
