Hello Everyone!
We thought you might be interested in how the photo of Inga seated with her camera came to be. Through the grapevine we had heard that Inga was going to visit "Big Springs" in Missouri, one of the world's largest single springs and so we thought we would try to find her and say "hello".
It was in the late fall, there were not many people around, and we had no trouble spotting her. However, before we could get to where she was, another gentleman came along, and took her picture! Inga was completely unaware of our or the gentleman's presence - being totally absorbed in taking a picture of the spring. We don't know a lot about photography and were a little puzzled why she was on her knees with her posterior - well, frankly - up in the air! Apparently the other guy was equally puzzled and couldn't resist this photo opportunity. When Inga had finished making her photo she turned around and realized that she'd been "caught"! The man introduced himself as the president of a photography club and confessed taking her picture. Obviously Inga is a good sport because she thought it all very funny. They exchanged email addresses and the man promised to send her the pictures. When we finally caught up with Inga she explained that she had wanted to take a picture of the water at a slow shutter speed for a special effect and not having brought her tripod, she placed the camera on the low stone wall you see in the picture to stabilize the camera. In order to look through the viewfinder and compose the picture, she had to get down on her knees . . .
Well, the man did send her the photo you see here but she never got the other one. He claims that it did not turn out! That's our story and we're sticking to it!
